baby bottles

was recently researching about baby bottles and i shortlisted to 2 brands: avent and tommee tippee. Both are anti colic and are wide neck bottles for easy cleaning. Checking out medela brand too cos i saw in motherhood fair that they have offers too and in robinson both avent and meduelas have packages but medula more limited range. Will update abt medela once i take a look at it.
Avent is commonly used in spore and there are so many packages that are v economical and there is also a huge variety. basically you do not have to worry abt missin any items should u run out of them. Disadvantage of it is that it is not bpa free and the teat of the bottle is not as interesting. Basically they believe tt bpa in bottles are released into milk during sterilising and heating process and hence affect development of young children. Avent do have bottles that are bpa free but according to some forums they leaked and they are exp (S$19.90 for 260ml)! almost twice the price of a norm avent bottle of the same vol.
so far I like tommee tippee (closer to nature) range better because of the teats especially. It is suppose to resemble the breast so that switchin between both bottle n breast is supposed to be fuss free for babies. TT also won quite a no of awards. Furthermore the teats are made of silicon, soft and feels good to the touch but i reckon babies still have their pref so wat mothers think are gd for child may not b wat the child feels. TT is bpa free but prob with this is that they do not sell in packages and you can only get in mothercare shop (largest in marina square and vivocity). The range is also limited but sufficient. price wise is relatively the same as avent if u compare individual products but since TT doesnt come in packages, avent will then be significantly cheaper unless u can wait for sales by mothercare itself. TT also does not have electric breast pump so it will b quite troublesome if u use pumps from other brands as they might not fit into TT bottles for u to store.
